Job Description:

The Part-Time Mental Health Instructor will play a pivotal role in delivering training programs that contribute to our strategy of ensuring equitable access to mental health services across all ages and stages of family life. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with public and private sectors to shape a comprehensive training offering that addresses barriers to accessing mental health services in Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver, update, and enhance the training program, including content and materials.
- Collaborate with public and private sector partners to develop a training curriculum that supports mental health service accessibility.
- Conduct in-person and online First Aid for Mental Health training sessions.
- Assist in planning and promoting the course schedule on the Mind Jersey website.
- Evaluate and assess course participants, maintaining accurate records on our 'in-house' system.
- Support various program-related tasks such as advising on course fees, marketing and media outreach, procurement of course materials, and managing logistics.
- Attend team meetings to share best practices and incorporate participant feedback.
- Foster partnerships with community, voluntary, statutory, and commercial organizations to create tailored training packages for our business partners.
- Ensure the wellbeing and safety of Mental Health First Aiders and other trainers within Mind Jersey.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the organization.

Experience and Qualifications:

- Experience in delivering training sessions.
- Proficiency in giving presentations and providing guidance and support.
- Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding protocols and dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, with negotiable working hours based on agreed-upon availability. Some evening and weekend work may be required to accommodate training sessions. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
