Mind Jersey provide volunteer based Peer support. This type of support is when people use their own lived experiences to help someone else who needs support from someone who understands.
This is a 10 week course covering many topics including; crisis planning, communication skills understanding recovery and self care and hope for the future
Based at 53 New Street, the nearly new shop has been providing an invaluable source of income to Mind Jersey for many years.
Volunteers have a very important role to play in Mind Jersey’s Participation group, Youthful Minds. We are a led by children and young people, which means that our volunteers decide how the project will run.
Providing 24hr support living for adults with severe and enduring mental illness in a warm, domestic setting. We work in partnership with families and other professionals and we pride ourselves in providing a person-centered, empowering service model. We are committed to supporting our residents to build a meaningful life for themselves and to increase their opportunities to build a life beyond illness.
